Developers David Chatham and John Wieland partnered with the Cherokee County Board of Education to secure
a site for a new state-of-the-art elementary school within a safe walking distance of the River Green neighborhood.
The developers assisted in the negotiations that led to the purchase by the Cherokee County Board of Education
of 21 acres of prime land perfect for the planned new school.
Pedestrian-friendly sidewalks and bike paths will make for safe
and easy access to the planned facility adjacent to River Green.
And of course, drive time to the school from any home in
River Green will be only a hop, skip, and jump away.
The planned new school represents another step toward fulfilling
the vision of these two pioneering developers who are crafting a
neighborhood stylized and consistent with the quaint, true, small
towns of pre-1950’s Georgia. Filled with amenities, open space,
and planned neighborhood commerce, River Green is one of the
best places to live in Georgia.
